Give your characters some personality.

This is a great article that I found that could really help you develop your characters backgrounds. Remember in our game that role-playing your character well is a major factor in how much experience points you receive each gaming session.  Give it a try, I started using the article for some of the non-player characters in the game and it was fun to do and has really helped in fleshing them out.
